After going to Hong Kong this weekend, I remembered how much I miss sunsets over the water… Growing up in Southern California, I was so spoiled. The sunsets over the ocean were so grand and magnificent, something worthy of kings, I really thought I would always be able to see such beautiful colors…  hehe, oh pollution in China… it’s okay. Anyway, Turner was my favorite painter in High School and I think he still is one of my favorites. His paintings are jam-packed with emotion – you can feel a bit of swirling in your heart when your eyes follow the colors. Even the second painting titled The Slave Ship or Slavers Throwing Over Dead and Dying is beautiful… beauty in chaos and pain… I don’t envy painters or artists. They seem to have really disturbed lives – filled with too much emphasis on outdoing who they were the day before and that is really stressful. Mm, back to work for me!
